Tricia is very proud to be an original member of the theatre company ANOTHER URBAN RIFF, appearing in productions including Steven Tanenbaum’s MONO, YOUR BEST FRIEND, MAMBO QUASIMODO, and the 30 MINUTE PROJECT. She is also a member of the improv group STRING THEORY. Tricia has worked with Happy Accident theatre company on the play CAZ DIES ALONE and was in Clubbed Thumb’s production of DESIGN YOUR KITCHEN. She was on TV once, on Vh1 in the show My Coolest Years: the dirty hippies. She is currently working on a pilot with Mr. Tanenbaum, so all you t.v. executive people, be prepared to have your minds blown.

Inbal Samuel is a professional actress based in New York; a member of Actors’ Equity & AFTRA. Film credits: a lead role in “Straight Flush”(winner of the audience award for best dramatic short film - Valley Film Festival); "Tuesday Night"(an official selection of The NY Film Festival); "Timecollapse"(Montreal Film Festival); and "Blind Date"(Philadelphia Film Festival). Stage credits: a 2-year run with "Mono"; "Godless"(award winner at the Columbia Film Festival) & various productions with Creative Stages Co. at the Abingdon & Linhart Theatres. In Fall 2004, she produced AUR’s critically acclaimed “Mambo Quasimodo” at Sutra.

Megan Armitage

Megan Armitage is so happy to be a company member. She played most of the female roles in MONO and was the Cincinnati Kid in Mixed Tape. Outside of AUR, she was the co-host (along with AUR member Lawrence Jansen) for "Cinematherapy Road Test" which aired on WE: Women's Entertainment Television. She attended the Theatre School at DePaul University until she couldn't afford it. Her inner child's voice has a delicate British accent.

 

 

   
Irene Longshore

Irene Longshore got her start in theatre appearing in lead roles in Real Dramatic, Falling Petals, A Midsummer Night's Dream, The Children's Hour, The Dining Room, Bloody Poetry, and Lillian Hellman, Age 13. She had a starring role in the independent film The Other America, which opened the 2004 Slamdance Film Festival and has been shown at other festivals including San Francisco, Boston, and Philadelphia, and the leads in the independent films In Between and The New Year Parade, as well as roles in the film Girl, Interrupted and on the TV show Boston Public. As a member of Another Urban Riff theatre company, Irene has appeared in Mono, The Summer They Stopped Making 'Ludes, Mixed Tape Project and currently in 30-Minute Project. Irene is currently filming a lead role in the independent feature "American Standard" (see link below).

Pete Mele

Pete Mele has been a member of AUR since the blackout of '03. He has been seen and heard in MONO, 'Ludes, Mambo Quasimodo and the 30 Min projects. Pete is also an understudy with Tony and Tina's Wedding. Mostly Pete plays father/husband with Barbara and Sophia.

Juliette has been a regular visitor to NY for the past 3 years and has been thrilled with the growing popularity of Modern Irish Theatre. As co-director of Eden Theatre Co. in Dublin, she would love to work at bringing newer Irish voices to the NY stage, especially in collaboration with the ever-exciting work of AUR.

Nick recently graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts and received his BFA in Drama. He is thrilled to be amongst such a talented ensemble and hopes to use AUR as a springboard into "Naked Boys Singing."

Dai Ishiguro

Dai Ishiguro was born and raised in Japan. He came to New York to find something that inspires him most. Now he is in love with acting along with music,writing and painting. Dai studied at Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute for two years. He was also a MONO cast member for two years.

Kena Cuesta

Kena Cuesta was born in Paris, France. She thanks her family for exposing her to theatre at a young age and cultivating a life long passion. After her acting studies in Paris, she moved to New York in 2001, where she met Steven Tanenbaum, and joined the cast of MONO for more than two years. She continued collaborating with AUR in the 30 MINUTE PROJECT and studying American acting techniques until 2005, when she decided to return to Paris to begin an international career by conquering French theater and cinema and starting the French division of AUR.

Kerri Tucker

Born in Trinidad, Kerri Tucker feels privileged to be a member of such an inspired and hard working group of artists. She graduated from the Neighborhood Playhouse in NYC, and joined the cast of MONO in April 2001 and played all the female roles over the next 3 years, even taking on 2 roles for one weekend. From 2003 - 2004, she served as the Assistant Director of Another Urban Riff until she moved back to Trinidad. In June 2004, she directed the off Broadway production of AUR’s The Summer They Stopped Making ‘Ludes Or How Taking Peyote Turned Me Into A Coyote at Theatre Row. She has also appeared in several independent features, as well as the CBS soap, Guiding Light. She was seen at the Lion Theater in Yearning for the 4th Grade in Nov. 2002, and recently starred in the independent feature, Opposite Attraction. Kerri is currently part of the producing group for Five Women Wearing The Same Dress, which is in pre-production in Trinidad.

Maya Macdonald

A native of NYC, Maya started out as a choreographer and dancer at Dance Theatre Workshop. She is best known by Another Urban Riff for her long time run as the mute in MONO. Maya is also an aspiring playwright and has written numerous plays including, "MUTT" for MCC Theatre and "Through the Bars of a Rhyme" for Starfish Theatre Works. She just recently finished playing Jamie in "A Room Full of Lovely" by LABrynth theatre member Cusi Cram.

Lawrence Jansen

Originally from Philly, he graduated from the Neighborhood Playhouse in 2000, and went straight into two back-to-back national tours. Upon returning to NYC, he was cast in MONO, and successfully played all of the men's roles. In 2004, he starred in AUR's production of Steven Tanenbaum's MAMBO QUASIMODO. NYTheatre.com singled out his performance and the play as "One of the best of 2004". He was the co-host (along with AUR member Megan Armitage) for "Cinematherapy Road Test" which aired on WE: Women's Entertainment Television. Lawrence has had the lead role in several independent features and was recently in a national Verizon commercial. Other stage productions include the Happy Accident theatre company's CAZ DIES ALONE and Clubbed Thumb's DESIGN YOUR KITCHEN.

 

 

   

Lisa Atenasio

Lisa has been involved with AUR since the spring of 2005. Previous to
that, you may remember her highly dramatic turn on "The Caroline Rhea
Show", recreating Sandra Bullock's show-stopping performance in
"Speed" for the cast of Third Watch. She's also done numerous
independent films, but those pale in comparison to her shining moment
on daytime television. She's currently writing a sketch comedy show,
trying to recover from a blue cheese dressing addiction, and
restraining herself daily from quitting her job as a disenchanted
waitress.

Brett Gloden

Brett is very proud to be a member of AUR. He has acted in numerous Project 30 performances as well as portraying a Street Musician in Mixed Tape. Before acting with AUR, Brett was a student at The American Music and Dramatic Academy. After graduating, he went on a national tour with Chambers Theatre Productions. Just before finding AUR, Brett worked on a few student films and also was featured on an episode of AMC's series Into Character. He hopes to continue working with AUR on several upcoming projects.

Amber Stewart moved to NYC out of high school and has vowed never to
wait on tables. As a part of AUR she's been able to act, write and direct for
Project 30. She loves doing film and plans to make her own along with
her best friends (and fellow weirdos) Robyn and Lisa. Amber also paints

JJ Hurvich

JJ is the youngest member of AUR, but has been there from the start.
Born and raised in NYC, she is an undergraduate at Middlebury College where she studies - among other things - Film and German. JJ has been in many a play with Mr. Tanenbaum since she was 6 years old (when her ears were bigger than her face) including Swing Lab, Gym, Blink (NYC Fringe Festival 1999) and one where she played a gangster named Bugsy. JJ has a radio show, plays guitar, likes to take pictures, and is in the Otter Nonsense Improvisational Comedy Group. She is an aspiring writer, indie movie star and space traveler and hopes to one day travel around in a van making documentaries about street corner revolutions and/or traveling bible salesmen.

 

 

   

Christian Haines

Christian Haines is a "Project 30" regular having acted, directed and
written for the project. Otherwise he gets around town doing different
plays such as "Bartleby, the Scrivner "(The Blue Heron), "Supposedly"(NY
Fringe 2005), "Brundibar" (Actors Center), "The First Time out of Bounds" (The Drilling Co.). He has also done numerous plays in San Francisco and a few films.

 

 

   
Florina Petcu

Florina Petcu started acting at an early age in Romania, performing on several European stages before moving to New York, where she did a lot of theatre work, then shot several Independent features and was in the CBS daytime drama "As the World Turns”. Currently, Florina plays the sassy Albanian, Ilina Miritia, along side Denzel Washington in Spike Lee's “Inside Man”. However her love for theatre remains and she enjoys coming back to work with Steven, AUR and Project 30. Jessie joins the AUR team from the streets of Flint, MI. She’s super excited to be a part of such a fun, talented ensemble. She’s spent her past year in New York working on different plays for Project 30 and preformed in the second installment of Mixed Tape Project. When not acting with AUR, she can be seen improvising with the all female group “Penny.” Jessie also enjoys tennis, traveling, taking photos and being called “Jessie,” as her real name is actually Jessica.

Gloria's recent film work includes a Leading role in "Fun With Dick & Jane" and Featured roles in "Stepford Wives" and "House of D". On Television, she has Guest Starred on: NYPD Blue, ABC, Strong Medicine, LIFETIME, & 3 LBS with Stanley Tucci, CBS (Pilot). She also appeared on "Six Feet Under" and "The Shield".  Prominent theatre roles are: Principal in "illumiNATION" at the Mark Taper Forum (LA), lead role in the Broadway musical, "Purim Day" and various roles in MONO at Theatre Row. Kerryn is a 23 year old actress/writer/comedian. She comes from Cape Cod and is a 2005 graduate of Marymount Manhatthan College . As a member of Another Urban Riff theatre company, Kerryn has appeared in MONO, The Summer They Stopped Making 'Ludes and is an active participant in the 30 Minute projects.  She appeared in the independent film “The Reunion” and is currently performing at Gotham Comedy Club, NCY.

 

 

   

Amber Petty

Amber Petty is thrilled to be a part of AUR.  A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Amber is now a regular performer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater and has been a part of Project 30 for over a year.  In 2006, she wrote one of the 4 plays in AUR’s second Mixed Tape.  Amber is also a member of the improv group, Penny, along with AUR members Tricia McAlpin and Jessica Schupack.  In addition to acting, Miss Petty teaches voice and speech and dialects, finally putting her intense love of English accents to work.
